The products in NIKO JUNE are handmade , meaning that each single object is unique and will differ from each other in shape and creation. Following these instructions will help to maintain the appearance and we embrace changes in the appearance of the material upcycled. To achieve unique results follow the instructions on each piece

How to Care: Aluminum

Aluminum is a white metal that is characterized by its light weight and high light reflectivity. At NIKO JUNE we use untreated aluminum to bring out the qualities of this material. It is a material with a greater presence on earth and can be recycled indefinitely.

Maintenance and cleaning:

Regularly clean the aluminum with a soft cloth and warm water to remove dust and dirt. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals and use an ordinary sponge or microfiber cloth without acidic or corrosive products.

PLEASE NOTE: 

Natural materials may develop a patina over time.

How to Care: Glass

Glass is a solid material, usually fragile and transparent. It is composed mainly of sand and alkali. In NIKO JUNE glassware we use borosilicate glass, a resistant material with a durability that gives it the characteristic of being a unique object.

Maintenance and cleaning: 

The material is resistant to high and low temperatures, this allows a thermal resistance of 70 degrees is suitable for dishwasher and microwave.

PLEASE NOTE:

Glass can be fragile, so be careful when handling the object. Due to reshaping and deformations, the thickness of the material variates.

How to Care: Beech Wood

Wood is a renewable and durable resource. The wood found in our NIKO JUNE pieces is beech wood, it is a soft, resistant and durable material.

Maintenance and cleaning: 

Cleaning should be done with a microfiber cloth and neutral soap. If you want to clean it with a specific product, avoid those that contain silicone in its composition and if you want to try it, try it in an inconspicuous place. To clean dust, use a soft, dry cloth, this will allow the wood to shine and not leave products that contain water or are wet for a long time on the wood.

PLEASE NOTE:

It is a soft material and will scratch and change color over time, but consider this as part of the life of the product, showing its use.

How to Care: Wood Oil

It is a wood treated with natural oils in order to improve its durability, this allows it to have a protective layer. NIKO JUNE we use this resistant material with a durability that makes it a unique object.

Maintenance and cleaning: 

1. Clean the furniture with a clean cloth dampened with warm water.

2. Once the furniture is dry, apply oil to a soft, clean cloth or sponge, do not pour the oil directly onto the wood.

3. Rub oil into the wood in the direction of the grain, treating the entire surface of the furniture.

4. Let the oil soak for about 20 minutes, then remove excess oil with a soft, clean, dry cloth.

5. Rub the surface with a soft, clean cloth until an even surface is obtained, then allow to dry.

How to Care: Upcycled Plastic

Recycled plastic is an ecological, reusable and durable material. Our pieces at NIKO JUNE are unique pieces and we accept changes and we hope you do too.

Maintenance and cleaning: 

We do not recommend placing our vases in direct sunlight, wash and rinse with warm water and a soft sponge. Wait for it to dry to be able to give it the use you want.

PLEASE NOTE:

As it is a recycled material, over time there will be discolorations and changes in the appearance of the material.

How to Care: Stoneware

Stoneware is a type of non-porous ceramic which has been fired at high temperatures. It is characterized by its durability. The Studio was initially made as ceramic color samples at the NIKO JUNE studio and is handcrafted in stoneware and glazed in Denmark. Each object is unique.

Maintenance & Cleaning:

  1. This product is dishwasher and microwave safe. 
  2. No using metal pads to clean your stoneware and opt for gentle nylon pads instead.

PLEASE NOTE: 

Ceramics can be fragile, so be careful when handling the object. Scratches, flaws and small cracks are all parts giving the object a soul. We embrace those imperfections and so should you. Please take care of this object.

How to Care: Paper Rice

Rice paper lamps are a Japanese inspiration that is currently a trend in interior design. At NIKO JUNE we have GLITCH GLOBE which is unique in character and emits a soft light when switched on.

Maintenance and cleaning: 

  1. To remove accumulated dust use a dry cloth and be very careful with the type of pressure you apply as you must be careful to do it little by little.
  2. To change the bulb, be sure to turn the lamp off, unplug it and then repack it.

How to Care: Urethane Rubber, Cardboard

Cardboard is a material composed of several layers of paper overlapping and bonded together, based on virgin fibre or recycled paper. At NIKO JUNE we use sheets of cardboard found on the streets of East London, hand-coated with a thick layer of polyurethane rubber.

Maintenance and cleaning:

Rinse with clean water and dry with a lint free cloth, avoid placing the object in direct sunlight or near a strong heat source.
